Chicago, IL - Clearing Universities & College Degree Programs

At the heart of the Chicago neighborhood of Clearing are two parks: Lawler Park and Hale Park. The 6.2-acre Lawler Park has baseball diamonds, basketball and volleyball courts, a playground, and outdoor events and programs. Hale Park has an outdoor swimming pool, modern field house, athletic fields and courts, playground, and meeting rooms. What is now Clearing was once private land owned by Long John Wentworth, former U.S. Senator and Chicago mayor. Clearing is one of Chicago's largely suburban neighborhoods centered on various industries and the Midway Airport. Many schools, community colleges, and universities are scattered in or near the Clearing area. These include Fox College, Daley College, and Northwestern Business College.
