Chicago, IL - Hegewisch Universities & College Degree Programs

Hegewisch is the southern and eastern-most neighborhood in Chicago, with just enough distance from downtown to keep its small-town charm. Historically a town of steel mills, Hegewisch's population has declined with the American steel industry. The remaining population, however, has formed a tight knit community that succeeded in bringing a Chicago Public Library and additional funding to town. Locals enjoy eating at the town's many family-owned restaurants, such as Pudgy's Pizza and Los Cantaritos. Hegewisch is far enough from the city to enjoy the relaxation of the country, but its proximity to trains and I-94 allows residents to access the schools, colleges, universities, and amenities Chicago has to offer.
