Logan Square is a lively, densely populated Chicago neighborhood five miles northwest of the Loop. At the center of town is the actual Logan Square, a tree-lined, grassy park with a stone obelisk at its center. A mix of historic mansions and modern apartment homes, Logan Square is known for its diversity. A large percentage of the population is Hispanic, but there is also a strong Polish community. The result is over one hundred restaurants, bistros, and bakeries, serving a variety of ethnic foods. Logan Square also contains several schools and a city college, while access to the "L," I-90, and bus service connect it with Chicago's many colleges and universities. |
