Chicago, IL - Washington Heights Universities & College Degree Programs
Washington Heights is a Chicago community situated on the far south side of the city. Although its population has declined over the past two decades, Washington Heights, Chicago retains a classically Midwestern community of hardworking, mostly blue collar citizens. The neighborhoods offer relatively affordable housing, an attractive feature to money-conscious students at nearby colleges and universities. Also of note to students is the Woodson Branch of the Chicago Public Library, home to the Vivian Harsh collection of African American literature, second-largest in the Midwest. Washington Heights features three elementary schools, one secondary school, and is serviced by the Day Ryan Expressway.| » Illinois Colleges: Quick Search | » Featured School | |||
